Hi! We’re LegalShare. LegalShare is a marketplace for lawyers to buy and sell legal documents from and to each other. We are offering a FREE LIVE three hour CLE that is accredited in New York for both new and experienced attorneys. The CLE is called Motion Practice for New Attorneys and will teach you everything you need to know to file a great motion. (If you can’t make the February 26 session, fill out the form below anyway and you will be the first to know when we have our free March CLE.)
The materials can be downloaded here.
We have a fantastic panel of attorneys teaching the class, including Gabriel Harvis and Dennis Houdek. The panel will be moderated by Isaac Tilton, co-founder of LegalShare (and also an attorney).
Gabriel P. Harvis
Gabriel Harvis is a founding partner of Harvis Wright Saleem & Fett, a litigation boutique in downtown Manhattan. Prior to entering private practice, Gabe served as an Assistant Corporation Counsel at the New York City Law Department, defending the City in federal civil rights cases. Gabe has personally litigated over 200 cases in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and has conducted eight federal jury trials. Most of Gabe’s time is dedicated to representing indigent plaintiffs in lawsuits alleging police misconduct or prison abuse and seeking institutional reform.
Dennis Houdek has been a successful solo commercial litigation practitioner for over 20 years. Since starting his own practice, he has, among many other things, (i) been an Adjunct Professor of Bankruptcy at Baruch College; (ii) been Chairman of the Bankruptcy Committee and a member of the Board of Directors of the Federal Bar Association, Empire State Chapter; (iii) successfully litigated the largest estate in the Bronx Surrogate’s Court, winning his client a settlement that included an 87-unit residential rental building in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn and 9 coop apartments in Manhattan, then successfully negotiating the sale of all of these properties; and (iv) litigated in the EDNY Bankruptcy Court, on behalf of a Chapter 11 Debtor, a division of 10 properties valued at over $40 million.
Register for the CLE by entering your information below if you wish to attend. The class will be held at 305 Broadway, 7th floor, New York, New York, at the office of Itkowitz PLLC. We will also have a short (five minute) LegalShare demonstration.
